HAMMONDSPORT - Robert S. Richards, 67, died Wednesday, Nov. 28,1984 in Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 30, 1917 in Hammondsport, son of Fred and Bertha Harder Richards.
He was the former owner and operator of Richard's Grocery Store in Hammondsport for 47 years, retiring in 1981. He was on the board of directors of Olean Wholesale for many years, and was past president of the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association. He was a former commissioner of the Hammondsport Fire Department and a member of the Bath Elks Lodge for over 40 years.
He entered the U.S. Army May 19, 1942 and was commissioned in the U.S. Army Air Corps, Oct. 1, 1943, serving with the 585th Bomb Squadron, 394th Bomb Group in the 9th Air Force in the European Theatre of Operations.
He is survived by his wife Jorene Dudney Richards; five sons, John of Mary Esther, Fla., James of Brockway, Pa., Donald of Tucson, Ariz., R. Michael of Gasport, and Bill Hagan of Spencerport; two daughters B. Jean Hagan of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jerry (Mrs. Ronald) Yorio of Painted Post; one sister, June (Mrs. Karl) Millard; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home, Hammondsport.
Services will be there at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Clair Statham officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hammondsport Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the Hammondsport Volunteer Fire Department or the American Cancer Society.

ANNEX "A"

The information contained in this Annex constitutes an integral part of the atchd Special Order.
(1) This is a PERMANENT change of station to an overseas destination with TD enroute,
(2) Pers will not be accompanied by dependents, neither will dependents join pers at any assembly point, staging area, airport of embarkation or port of embarkation. Travel by privately owned conveyance is not atzdi.
(3) Except as may be necessary in the transaction of official business, individuals are prohibited from discussing their oversea destination even by shipment number. Each 0 and EM will be indoctrinated in the AAF Staging Area in matters of security, and censorship of all activities of the pers under movement orders.
They will not file safe arrival telgs with commercial agencies while enroute and at domestic or overseas destinations,
(4) In lieu of subs, a flat per diem of $7,00 is atzd for 0, Flt 0 and WO for travel and for periods of temp duty enroute to final destination in accordance with existing law and regs, when no qrs or billets are furnished. When qrs or billets are furnished per diem, will be paid in accordance with prevailing rates. Payment of mileage is not atzd.
(5) A flat per diem of $7.00 is atzd for EM for travel and for periods of temp duty enroute to final destination in accordance with existing law and regs, if travel is performed by air. For travel, by rail or other facilities and for periods of delay enroute to final destination, monetary alws in lieu of rat and qrs is prescribed in accordance with AR 35-4520.
(6) No more than a total of 30 days at the prescribed or prevailing rates will be allowed for temp duty at any one point in the continental United States.
(7) No per diem or monetary alws in lieu of rat and qrs, will be paid for actual period of travel when pers is traveling as a member of, or on duty with, any body of troops which is subsisted enroute from a kitchen car, rolling kitchen, field range, or other comparable facilities for preparing complete cooked meals. Upon arrival at port of embarkation or port of aerial embarkation, per diem at the prescribed or prevailing rates is atzd in accordance with (4) and (6) above.
(8) From time of departure from continental United States until arrival at permanent oversea station, payment of per diem is atzd for a maximum of 45 days.
(9) Provisions of PORC 1 Apr 44 except as otherwise indicated in this 0, are applicable to this movement and constitute an integral part of this order.
(10) Asgrnt of single 0 without dependents to BOQ is terminated. Married 0 and single 0 with dependents furnished shelter while at this sta, Pers will remain atchd Sec S, 302nd AAF Base Unit (SW), until departure.
